Member Service Representative – Part-Time & Full-Time
Position Summary
The Member Service Representative assists with the daily operational needs of the credit union by providing exceptional member service and performing a variety of financial transactions and account services. This position plays a key role in creating a positive member experience while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide a friendly and professional service environment by greeting members and visitors, anticipating member needs, and delivering accurate and efficient service.
- Maintain strong knowledge of credit union products and services and promote services based on members’ financial needs.
- Answer questions regarding credit union services and policies in person, by telephone, or through electronic communication.
- Respond promptly to member requests and concerns or direct members to the appropriate staff member for assistance.
- Provide information on investment and savings alternatives to members wishing to deposit funds.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies related to deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Assist with opening new accounts, servicing existing accounts, processing loan applications, and reviewing loan documents with members.
- Set up new account files and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Set up and process ACH transactions and requests.
- Process member requests including:
- Share transfers to loan payments
- Share withdrawals
- Check requests
- Certificate of Deposit (CD) transactions
- Stop payments
- Online banking inquiries
- Direct deposit setup
- Account maintenance and updates
- Process mail-in transactions and update auto insurance coverage; document requests on the mail log.
- Process night-drop transactions and document activity on the mail log.
- Book and finalize loans in accordance with credit union procedures.
